The Challenge Program has operated at Telopea Park School since 1989. It provides a learning environment in which students can build skills commensurate with their ability, develop confidence and a feeling of self worth. It fosters divergent and evaluative thinking, encourages risk taking and nurtures a commitment to academic excellence.
We believe:
- gifted and talented children need support and encouragement to reach their full potential.
- gifted and talented children need programs that acknowledge their specific needs.
- gifted and talented children are to be listened to, valued and encouraged.
- gifted and talented children need the opportunity to work with groups of children of similar intelligence and abilities.
