Unveiling of the new Canberra Tracks heritage sign

Unveiling of the new Canberra Tracks heritage sign

On Thursday 22 April, 2021 as part of the Canberra Tracks network, a heritage sign was unveiled adjacent to the school’s war memorial. The memorial and the sign commemorate the World War 2 service of all former students.

The sign also highlights the sacrifice of the first former student known to have died in that conflict, Pilot Officer Eric William Stanton Scott, killed during the evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940.

This work was made possible by a 2020 ACT Heritage Grant. We would like to thank the President of Canberra and District Historical Society, Allen Mawer, for being a distinguished guest and unveiling the sign.
